OUR APPROACH
Make the details understandable.
CarSherpa helps US readers prepare for buying, financing, leasing, and living with a car.
Who is Sherpa Desk?
Sherpa Desk is our organizational editorial byline, not a named mechanic or financial adviser. CarSherpa is published by Zpella ApS. The launch articles explain public information; they do not claim vehicle testing, dealer visits, or expert sign-off.
How a guide takes shape
We start with a practical question, give a direct answer, and explain the terms or steps needed to act on it. We link to US public authorities, including the FTC, CFPB, NHTSA, and the Department of Energy. Each article identifies its sources and the date they were accessed.
Worked examples use stated assumptions in US dollars. They are calculations, not live prices, typical outcomes, or financing offers. Read the original source and your own contract when a decision depends on a detail.
Dates and corrections
Publication dates identify when an article was prepared. Revision dates change when the content is substantively updated. Government guidance, contracts, and vehicle specifications can change after publication.
To report a correction, use the publisher’s official website and identify the article, the passage, and a supporting source.
The limits of a guide
We do not arrange loans, sell vehicles, or diagnose mechanical faults. A qualified professional should assess a specific vehicle or financial situation. State rules and contract terms may differ. There are no provider rankings or numerical ratings on this edition of CarSherpa.
